Translation of voice-over script for Baseball DVD
Looking for freelance (NO agencies please) English into Japanese translators and revisors for a 45 minute Baseball DVD featuring game highlights and interviews. The voice-over script consisting of an off-camera narrator and on-camera voice-overs needs to be translated into Japanese and will be used as a voice-over script.
The English script is anticipated to have approx 6000 words and will be split among two translators who each translate 3000 words and then switch to check each other’s work followed by a final review of the complete script by a second revisor.
We are seeking native speakers of Japanese with extensive experience translating voice-over/dubbing scripts from English into Japanese. Familiarity with baseball terminology is a plus.
Translators and revisors need to have availability between Tuesday March 31st and Thursday April 2nd, schedule hours to be confirmed.
We are currently not accepting resumes for other languages/specializations.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- native speaker of Japanese
- voice-over/dubbing scripts professional translation experience is required
- familiarity with baseball terminology is a plus.
- access at home to pc, email and high speed internet (cable/DSL/T1)
- good typing skills and proficient with MS Word lay-out/formatting tools
- internet research skills
- must reside in United States or Japan
- Candidates are required to have worked/studied for approximately 2 years in United States
