Life Science Dictionary (LSD)
A life science dictionary put together by the folks at Kyoto University. Less comprehensive but more reliable than Eijiro. This site also is cross-referenced with Pub-Med in such a way that you can see words you look up in actual usage in journal articles. Very useful when you need to find out how a given word is used in "the real world". This site also lets you download the dictionary to use on your harddrive with programs like Jamming, and has Japanese henkan and English spelling libraries for free downloading.
Go to the top page for other tools. In the E to J sections, select composite for the "gamen-e-no shutsuryoku keishiki-o" box to get a list of words that can be used to create a vocabulary list. Thanks to Zachary Braverman for this review.
